OpenSearch Dashboards

Chainguard's redistribution of the OpenSearch Dashboards (opensearch-dashboards) Helm chart, pre-configured with hardened Chainguard Images.

OpenSearch Dashboards is the open-source visualization and user interface for OpenSearch, providing search, analytics, and observability dashboards against an OpenSearch cluster.

Prerequisites

Authentication is required to access this chart and its images. First, authenticate with Chainguard and configure your environment:

chainctl auth login
chainctl auth configure-docker --pull-token --save
helm registry login cgr.dev

Create an image pull secret in the target namespace:

kubectl create secret docker-registry cgr-pull-secret \
  --docker-server=cgr.dev \
  --docker-username="$(echo cgr.dev | docker-credential-cgr get | jq -r '.Username')" \
  --docker-password="$(echo cgr.dev | docker-credential-cgr get | jq -r '.Secret')" \
  --namespace opensearch-dashboards

Installation

helm install opensearch-dashboards oci://cgr.dev/ORGANIZATION/charts/opensearch-dashboards \
  --namespace opensearch-dashboards \
  --create-namespace \
  --set imagePullSecrets[0].name=cgr-pull-secret

OpenSearch Dashboards expects to connect to an OpenSearch cluster; override opensearchHosts to point at your cluster (for example, one deployed with the Chainguard opensearch chart):

helm install opensearch-dashboards oci://cgr.dev/ORGANIZATION/charts/opensearch-dashboards \
  --namespace opensearch-dashboards \
  --create-namespace \
  --set imagePullSecrets[0].name=cgr-pull-secret \
  --set opensearchHosts="https://opensearch-cluster-master.opensearch:9200"
